Ancient Lovers

Ancient lovers find each other
by the tender song of waters in their hearts,
scent of softness in the lands of home.
After a long, long journey
they have learned the depths of solitude,
they have learned to hold their own hearts
safely in their hands.
They have themselves now,
their own eternity,
their own love within.
After eons of
wisdom distilled,
finally ready to find each other.
Souls have their own timing,
waiting for the human to let them in,
but they never forget.
They know
when the right time comes
for the great Love to be born again.
